Kathy Forsythe's Apple Crisp

Ingredients
5 Cups Granny Smith apples, sliced
2 – 4 Tablespoons sugar
½ Cup rolled oats
½ Cup brown sugar, packed
¼ Cup flour
¼ teaspoon cinnamon, plus a bit
¼ Cup butter
¼ Cup chopped walnuts

How to Cook:
1. Placed in large rectangular baking pan the apples with the white sugar.
2. Make a topping of the oats, brown sugar, flour, cinnamon, walnuts, with the butter cut in.
3. Bake at 375 degrees for 35 minutes.
4. If you prefer, you can make a double recipe of the topping, in which case, you might want to add some more apples.
